About Us

Growing up in Charleston South Carolina, I was raised to be on the water. Whether it was borrowing the local trash skiff from a friend’s uncle who owned a local marina to pole back into the marsh chasing Speckled Trout and Redfish or getting invited to go offshore because I washed the boat every day when it would come back in from a charter, I never said no to a fishing trip. I had the full support of my parents even when it came to waking them up at 4:30 AM so they could drive me to the marina to jump on a boat because I was too young to drive. Fishing was engraved into me, and I love to share that passion with anyone who books one of my trips. All jobs that I held throughout high school and college revolved around boats. This included trailer rebuilding/maintenance, working at a fiberglass shop, washing boats at the local marina, and eventually working as a deck hand on one. I did this throughout high school and college. After graduating the Citadel Military College of South Carolina, I went into the Commercial Construction world. I still do this today but started my own business allowing me to also follow my passion and open Knot Working Fishing Charters. Construction brought me to Houston, Texas and fishing is what will keep me here. While living in Texas for work, I met my amazing wife Abby. We have two beautiful girls together and Guess what? All three of them love to fish and often times on the weekend they will join us on the dock after the trip.  Fishing the Texas coast took time to learn and if anyone ever tells you they know everything that is a fishing story in itself. We do both Corporate and Family fishing trips. It does not matter whether you are a beginner or an avid Sportsmen, we will tailor our trips to our guests specifically. We are not a booking agency at Knot Working Fishing Charters. I am the owner and the captain and what you see in our pictures is the professional service you will receive on every trip.
